Use a rubber blunt! they are quiet and don't need anything special... good practice for the elk. and they only cost like 5 bucks for a 3 pack
Read the regs, not trying to dis on you but some of the question people ask on here about the regs are clearly stated. Its even in bright red and number one under archery.

The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.
Think I can rig up a slingshot to work with my bow release?
Also illegal to shoot them with a pellet gun........
It is Illegal to: Hunt game birds or game animals with anything other than a firearm, a bow and arrow, or by falconry.
I know a guy that limited on grouse a few years back by using a slingshot.

So i guess sticks and stones aren't allowed either.
Sorry if this is just the same situation, and I'm not seeing it, but how would the legality here work..I have my archery tags, plan on going out for deer/elk, my brothers coming with but only has the bear tag. He'd like to carry a shotgun/-06 incase he sees something while with me. Would this be legal? Or would the firearm need to be left at camp/truck while I was out with the bow?Would it be too much of a stretch to consider the 30-06 as a defensive weapon?
22 pistol with a CWP would fit the bill
What about concealed Weapons Permit and Carry a .22 Like a Ruger 22/45 or even the Walther 5 1/2, Decent accuracy and you can leagally carry them now as long as you have a permit
