That is quite the pile of dead targets.

Which broadhead target has held up best for you?

rinehart 18-1 target has held up a long time
if shot out in a year you get a new one for free from the dealer. I was going to do that but I lost my reciept. :'(

Thanks Jellymom. I tried a Morrell bh target this year, not holding up well.  Owned a Yellow jacket for several years, shoulda went with another one.

Good for you.  It looks like quite a good time has been had.  I just bought my son a bow for his birthday and hope to start shooting like that together.

I tried to shoot out an 18-1 a couple years ago.  Shot nothing but broadheads all year at it but couldn't fulfill the warranty requirements.  All 18 spots have to get a pass through in a 3" diameter.  That's not easy.  If you only shot 20 or 30 yards, 20 shots a day average with a big broadhead, then MAYBE.  Not with normal shooting, though.  Now I have a torn up 18-1 that sits off to the side and doesn't get used.

I would do that but my arrows that I have are too stiff for my bow so FP and BH dont hit the same. Next time I buy arrows theyre going to be 400 spine. I havent changed yet because I still have quite a few 340 spine and my BH shoot 5" groups or less at 60yds. With that performance I dont see the need to buy new ones just yet. Plus practicing with ALL my hunting arrows skyrockets my confidence. :P

three of us shot an 18-1 out in 4 months. The shot doesnt have to pass through, just penetrate to the nock in a 3" circle.

if you have to move your sight then something isnt tuned right on the bow. Like mine for example, the arrows are too stiff so my BH hit about 3" left of my field points. When I get some 400 spine I will be able to broadhead tune and have my bow perfectly tuned. For now though I just move my sight slightly. Back to the targets, we do use FP targets most of the year. Those targets in the picture are from years of shooting, we save the old ones to make a great backstop. We only shoot broadheads the month before the season and small practice sessions during.

I think we both agree. I was just trying to explain my situation and what the targets were all about. :P
