There was two really nice Non typicals killed in Mason County last year. I know 1 picture was up at Verle's  The other i don't remember where I seen it at. Once these little guys get in your blood it is hard to get them off your mind.

blacktails are my favorite deer. i love hunting the jungle. and i'm a huge fan of freaky non typicals. i would take a smaller freak over a bigger typical any day.

I find it wierd how many 1 or 2 or 3 by hanging down broken off velvet covered antler (blacktail bucks) I have seen killed or in the woods and I think they make the coolest trophys.
Lead em if they're running.

I will see if I can get the pics from my buddy but he passed on a buck last year that was a non-typical.  It looked like clubs coming out of the top of his head with six or seven fingers sticking straight out of the top.  Over all he was about a 14-16" spead but anout 18" tall.  He saw him 3 times but took a nice 5x5 the last day of the hunt.  He hunted 4 days and saw 5-6 shooters every day.  All blacktails.  They are up there boys.  How hard do you want to work for them?

Below is the link to the buck I got last year.  I thought it was cool, especially being able to look at it on the wall.
