Follow Up on Gun for Daughter....
« on: September 16, 2010, 12:38:32 PM »
Just to let you all know, appreciate all your input.

I had a Rem 700 in 22-250... I ended up talking to a smith, I wanted to get it rebarreled for her with a 7-08 or a 243....he happened to have a never fired 243 and mounted it on there for $100... Wooohooo. Set.

I am still going to try and pick up a 7-08 in the next few years as I have another following along... she could then use the 243 and this one can grad to the 7-08!

I'll get pics up of her shooting it in a while!

Thanks again for all the discussion!

She'll like the .243

My son was 7 when I bought him his. His cousin was 5 at the time. They would have burned up 100 rounds if I'd have had it the first time they shot it.

Sounds like a good deal for $100!  I'm sure she'll enjoy it.  I love the .243.  I've killed a bunch of deer with mine.

I got a 243 and i love it. Got it when i was young. Still use it for deer.

I actually figure i'll sneak it out a bit too.... :bfg:

This weekend, if the weather breaks for us, I'll take her and her sister....and maybe even mom, to the range and do a little shooting....
