Matthews mission buckmaster
« on: September 22, 2010, 04:33:22 PM »
Just went to my local archery shop and had the guy set me up with a bow. He suggested the Matthews mission buckmaster. Just wondering if anyone has that bow or have shot it. The guy wants 499 for the ready to shoot version. All I need to get now is a release and arrows what would the best release to get?

I've never shot that particular bow, but for releases I would suggest trying out multiple models to see which one would fit you best.  I use a Trufire Bulldog that folds away.  Great for working turkey calls.  It also has a buckle instead of velcro which is much quieter.

Thats the BX1 I'd go a step or two up the product line. The bow is $399 and the accessories on the ready to shoot are fair but not great. I'd go up to at least to the Maniac and select your own accesories. A WB and better sight will make for a much nicer setup.

I have a Mission Journey. Same bow as the Buckmaster except it doent have the roller it just has the nylon slide on the bar. But I shot both and they felt the same. It's a good bow. Same dimenions as a Mathews Switchback 33" ATA with a 7" BH. Not very fast, but very smooth. You'll like it.
