No problem they may not have been your horses but it's worth checking. He had a lot knowledge about the area. Really nice guy and he lives in tonasket.
Will hunt for food.

Hope you find them.  We were up in the Andrew's Creek trail to Remmel Lake last year but not familiar with where you are talking about until I look at a map.   Good luck!

Yeah I'm guessing he found them, seems he was only on here for some help, which is fine.  Would be nice to know if he found them though.
Will hunt for food.

Maybe we need to phone Mike (509) 698-4574 or the Tonasket Vet. (509) 486-2166.
If one of us does call, post it so the rest of us won't be bothering them.

A few years ago a couple horses from Duvall disappeared in the Suiattle Pass area of the Glacier Peak Wilderness and they never did show.  There was a big search for them.  Hope this turns out better.

I visited with Mike's wife on the phone.  Horses are still not recovered but they did get a lead on where they might be hanging out; still in the wilderness.  Mike is going back in Wednesday to checkout the spot.

Sorry guys.   I have been really busy and had nothing to tell.  I did not want to post just to make it seem that I was bumping it back up.  I have seen the number of reads so far and know that everyone is watching.  I know it has been some time since I posted on the forums but some things happened in my life a while back that changed me quite a bit.  I spend more time with family and friends then on the internet but I always know I can come here for help and that is why I did.

Now about the horses....I got a call form a woman who said she was backpacking on the Hickey Hump trail Saturday night and saw alot of horse tracks that looked really fresh.  The tracks were wandering all over and it looked like they were feeding in the area.  She said there was alot of really fresh manure as well.  She was lost and did not know where she was but she gave me the GPS coordinates and it was on that trail.  She was only about 1/2 mile from Toats Coulee Road.  I know there is ALOT of Free Ranging cattle in that area and I just hope she knows the difference between horse and cow tracks/manure.  As my wife said, I am grabbing a couple horses and heading up Wednesday.  I will stay as long as it takes to determine if they were/are in that area.

As far as the DNR goes.  I have called them FOUR times.  They have no idea what I am talking about.  They put me through to the guys voicemail and I left him two messages.  On my fourth call I found out that he was on vacation elk hunting somewhere.  I had hoped to hear from him this week but still nothing today either.  I have no idea when he will be back.  But I have a feeling that if they were mine someone would have called me.  I keep checking with the S.O. but no luck there either.  A pilot flew it for me and said he does not think they are in that area any more.

Again, sorry for not updating.  Be assured that if and when I do get them back I will post.  If I do not post then you know I have not found them.  You will also know that come mid October I will be curled up in a little ball somewhere sucking my thumb trying to rock myself to sleep.   :'(

Also when I am up to it I will post the four bucks we have taken the past two years on the high hunt. :IBCOOL:
Thanks again guys,

Mike Henne
