Here's a whitetail I shot a few years back. I was told by a bio. that it is a throwback gene some carry. Back when some of the deer had tusks or fangs. Some species of asian deer still have them. He also told me about one in 2000 have one....more rare to have them on both sides. Get a euro mount....it will look pretty cool.

that is what i have hear as well nwbrew. i don't think it matters white tail-black tail-mule deer i think they all could carry the gene. i have heard of this before. never seen it, thanks for posting the pics.
