I have two Zeiss Conquest scopes.  ZenRay binoculars and some older steiner big horn binoculars and the windriver sequoia spotting scope.  I am waiting for ZenRay to come out with a spotting scope in order to upgrade.  Very happy with the Zeiss products.

welcome to he european world of optics.

i see scopes every time i go on group hunts (zeiss,S&B,Sworo) that are 30+years old and still ticking just fine.

I've been making plans for my next gun i buy in the states. I'm looking at zeiss,Minox, and meopta in the 400-500$ price range unless i can snage a schmidt&bender before i leave.

It sounds like it's time to get a new gun.

You definitely need to snag something before you leave.... I would imagine it is cheaper to bring it back than to buy anything similar here.

buddy just picked up a brand new S&B Zenith 2.5-10x56 with illuminated reticle for 1400 US dollars.   the classic's are even cheaper. withut the 56mm bell and the illuminated you might get one under a grand.  prolly costs 2 G's in the states.

Nobody has asked the questions of why the sudden hatred for Leupold.  Did something happen?

Nuttin wrong with my Leo Or my Burris... Bought one used for $100 and the other used for $190.... They fit the bill nicely.

I DO like Zeiss and Swaro scope though...

I wouldn't call it hatred...some of us get tired of label worship in the face of mediocre products with high failure rates and high prices...but as long as you can send one back and get a new one.....
