I really like the Tigerwood with the stainless and am looking for something similar. I will look up the Boyds stocks though, I have Boyd Coddingtons on my Excursion

I just checked out the Boyds, I like the varmint stock but they don't make that for a 7mm. The Ross Thumbhole Stock is nice but only comes in 2 colors, and I don't care for either. Thanks though. I may be hitting you up for finishing advice on the other ones.

Like said above, call or e-mail Mr. Russo, he makes some great designs, and not much wait. Ask him to send you some pictures if you like. He makes a great A-5 copy in a laminated stock.

This was an e-mail that I had recieved from Joel Russo. He makes some very nice laminated stocks, and will inlet them to the action that you desire. Send him a line for the info you want, he made some great looking laminated A-5 stocks.

Huntinfool, by work I just mean minor fitting of the action/barrel channel etc. Where the time factor comes in is in the final finishing. On the one that I did from Richards I think he let a rabid beaver do the roughing out, took me FOREVER to remove the excess wood, staighten out the foreend and to fit the bottom metal. Dont get me wrong, its not hard but for what I had spent on this you would have thought the QC would have been better. This was on a Ruger M77. If you have any questions just let me know.   I like Jackalopes, BUT. those other ones I'll buy right after I get my Lavender Coupe DeVille with some of those shiny spinner hub caps, fuzzy dice, a matching lavender shag carpet  on the dash and fender skirts.

I've laminates from most makers and the greatest laminate attribute IMHO,is the ability to sculpt same to the end user. GOOD laminates needn't be sealed after that fact,but are heavy for like reasons(epoxy impregnated,which adds density).

I dig Western Guntstocks,ElkRidge Laminates,Fajen,Lawson,some Boyd's,Jim Cloward's stuff(Rutlidge supplied) and a few others.

Rutlidge supplies most and cutting to that chase,will save serious loot................
