Truck Canopy

At canopy world, I was quoted a fiberglass LEER w/ carpet headliner and sliding front window for about $1300 last winter.  Then I got laid off.  Bought a used one yesterday for $150- it'll cost a sheet of plexi to replace a broken wing window and a few rattle cans to make it match the truck.  Total about $200.

I can't remember what they cost,I found them shortly after buy a new fiberglass one in Bremerton.They look pretty expensive but worth it (in my opinion) if you buy a good quality truck new and plan to drive the wheels off of it

I just called them, the price is pretty much in the $1295.00 range for my short bed F250. I asked them why they don't have dealers or why they don't post prices. His answer was that typically canopy companies don't list prices. After I told him that his canopy wasn't typical and he should not follow the herd, he stated that prices confuse people and he wants to talk to his customers.
He also says that they have different colored fabrics although black is what is shown but he won't show or describe the colors on the web because users see colors differently on their computers....oh well. I like the concept but cannot wrap my mind around this guys logic. I may wait until he gets some dealers on board and look later.

Yeah they do look very high like quality. I like the backdoors on that canopy. If you had them make it a little higher it would be easy to put a lot of different things in the truck like a quad.

I would be worried that the Fabric would fade faster than the vehicle paint if they were color matched.

Finally bit the bullet and decided to go new. Cost more than i wanted to spend but it's a brand new truck and will be my wife's primary vehicle and she insisted that it match. This way at least i know it's installed and wired properly and she can have a "pretty" truck.

sounds like the smart choice to me. if mama ain't happy, ain't nobody happy. would like to see a pic of the truck with the new canopy. what brand did you get and why that brand?

I got a canopy off of another truck on the lot that the sales dept. didn't want. It cost me FREE....  . It is silver and my truck is gray...close enough for me. I have gotten quotes from a couple different places anywhere from $250-350 to paint it to match. Disclaimer...I told the painters it didn't need to be perfect because my truck is 9 years old with 120k miles on it. It's been through the ringer so it doesn't need to be perfect.

I'll try and get some up tonight. The canopy is a Range Rider 'Cruiser' model. I got it at Canopy West in Everett. They even price matched to what their competitors quoted me. The deciding factor was in stock availability. They were able to get mine from another location in 3 days and all the others said 2+ weeks to get one in the right color.
