Black Shale, White Sheep...
« on: March 20, 2008, 07:51:26 PM »
Got this video today and thought it was excellent.  It's of Alaska and I think Canada hunts and I think it has 11 sheep hunts?  I can't stand all the other hunting videos these days where they only show the final setup and shot.  Nothing about the hunt or how they got to that place.  Just kill shot after kill shot gets boring.  This was done well by Rick French and showed it like it was.  He seems like the kind of guy/guide that stays out of the hunters business and lets them take the shots they feel comfy with.  I feel like I would have a good time hunting with him...maybe I'll start saving my pennies.

Anyways, the video portrays the hunting situations well.  Many times he stops and points out where the sheep are, and how they are going to get there.  It's a good video for any of you interested.

I bought one last fall.  Great DVD with some beautiful footage.  Rick is a top-notch outfitter and excellent hunter.
