What Can I say Gringo?  :dunno: That yote took the one 55gr 223 V-max & yes it took one 40cal 180 grain to the back of the head.  The last 2 to the body were force of habit from U.S.P.S.A shooting..... Tough dog!!!!! :yike:
But at least when I drug it back to the truck, my yote didn't "bite" me in the leg!!!!!!!  :bdid:
I Will let Gringo Explain!!!!

Besides I gave up on the round count the second or third dog of the Derby, If I would have known that you would have been shooting like you did today I might of had a chance!!!!!

Masterful day of dog killin' fellas!!!!  :mgun2:

This one's for you SWAG -  :guns:

Don't care how it happened, only care that this state's deer population is better off for it! I'd normally have been out several times by now, but with waiting until the end of late archery season, and now the holidays, I haven't even dusted off the .20 cal. Day after Christmas will be it's winter 2010 debut.  :IBCOOL:

Nice Shooting Gringo and Swag, That's a nice pile of dogs.

+2 SBA

Went out yesterday and it started lightly raining. Did a couple of sets and on the last set this pair came in.
Not only are they paring up but looked like the female was going in heat. Might be a early breeder? Or it could have been just the shock of the bullet.  :chuckle:

Good going guys, wish I had some time to get out there and bust a cap or two. I'm back on the wet side for Christmas with the families and a very ill mother, this is her last Christmas no doubt so we are trying to make her last few days comfortable. Tough to do with all the hospice folks in and out at different times of the day. Maybe next week I'll have time to get back into the action.

Good luck and Merry Christmas.

I was able to take a very refreshing nap as a bunch of fog rolled through this morning!   :chuckle:

Took a non-member out today "HamBone" to bloody his .20 TAC. 1st set a single comes in with the wind at his back, I shoot and put it down and keep calling. About 1 minute later a pair comes in downwind. My partner sees the lower dog but not the upper. I'm saying shoot, shoot as the upper dog takes off full tilt. I pull the trigger before it gets to the ridge and miss. He shoots the lower dog DRT. I suck.
Got one more set in before the wind starts blowing tumbleweeds nothing comes in. Call next set and as every tumbleweed goes by we're thinking it's a coyote, at the 15 min mark we pull up and move, started walking about 250 yds and jumped a single that was coming in.  Went to the next set and called for 15 min again, got up and walked about 150 yds and jumped a pair that was coming in. One of those now is in the doggy hospital. Think I would have learned the first time.  :bash:

Well, it's Monday morning, I'm back home now and a huge thank you to you guys for the support and prayers. My mother is at the point where she has good and bad days, mostly bad days but she seemed to be in good spirits Christmas day which was a blessing.

I think VV and I will get out for a couple of hours today, I need to get my mind back into the game here, it's been tough with all that is going on, but maybe we will roll one today.  I need to get some blood on a new barrel anyways.

Thanks again,

Gary

Today was a short day for us. We had other things to do so we got busy with the callin'. This female came in on our third stand from about a half mile out. She stopped briefly at the 160 yard mark to take a look at the decoy and there she died. Plus I got blood on the new 6X45 barrel from Blackhole Weaponry, if I can just get it to shoot decent I'll be much happier with it.

+1 for SBA
