I would go to a housing construction site and see if they would give you some pieces of Tyvek.  That is what they wrap houses with.  It would work good or mylar.  I converted my old spinning wing one by leaving the guts in and attaching the wings.  I used surgical tubing on the inside to make it opperate.  It worked good.

I don't know how much you paid for your fullbody goose decoy but you can get windduck type goose decoys for somewhat reasonable prices. URE-A-Duck has one for in the $80s

http://www.ureaduck.com/canada_goose_decoys-windgoose.htm

I like what you have going on with the duck decoy and that makes sense to me since you can't use it in WA, but you might consider adding one more goose to your flock instead of convering the fullbody.

but I have bags upon bags of unused decoys in my attic because I can't part with them even though I have no use for them, LOL. that's just me...

For the goose decoys I'm running 1 dozen GHG shells w/ flocked heads and butts then I have 1 six pack of GHG harvester w/ flocked heads and butts. My buddy has 1 harvester pack and 1 six pack of feeders so instead of buying the motion decoy for $80-90 im thinking of getting a four pack of resters and converting one looker or one active to a wing flapper, its costing me about $3 for the convertion. Its not a monster spread but with the new dekes we will have 34 and 2 of the edge kite/flag landing dekes. Right now im trying to be as economic as possible to add more geese to our spread, everytime I ready an article about decoy spreads where they put out 100+ dekes I just want to cry.

LOL I know the feeling but 100+ isn't required unless you're hunting snows.

If you are looking to buy some fabric, check out http://www.seattlefabrics.com/. Prices are reasonable and they've got a good selection. If you know what you want, they'll put it in an envelope and mail it to you.

You can also try http://www.questoutfitters.com/ or Outdoor Wilderness Fabrics http://www.owfinc.com/

Either of those locations will mail your material too you as well. I think that OWF has typically had a better camo selection -- not that it will help you with your decoy though.

Sundance, cool little project.

I would switch from wooden dowel to a fiberglass rod. Go buy a kids bicycle flag for cheap at Kmart and you have all the fiberglass whip rod you need.... I bet the wood gets wet and snap....

Tyvek sounds like a great way to go.....anyone ever try shooting a light coat of spray paint on it? Curious...

The spray paint sticks good.  I have ran some in the blind.  I also have a good sized piece that I use as a drop cloth.

for the wing material id suggest hitting a hobby store that sells remote control airplanes and getting some of the shrink wrap stuff they sell for airplane wings, its tough and ultra light.  you can form it to the wing with a torch or heat gun and get it in almost any color.
