So would a collar mess with his coat in that area and skrew up your mount?

I would ask WDFW if I could keep the collar and have it mounted with the collar. Would be cool to have it on the wall just as it was shot.

Great lookin rosi btw.

Not sure if they have to turn the collar in or not, does anybody have experience with this?  Buckaholic, I dont think there is many up there much bigger turning a westside bull down that size would be crazy hard to do!

I'm sure you have to turn in the collar.  It is kinda like turning in your duck with a band.  The game dept. finds out where  they go and what happened to them.

I would not mention the collar and have it mounted with it.  Congrats to the hunter on that bull.  That bull is a dandy for sure.

Not sure if you "have " to turn them in but when we shot a cow with a collar on her. We called the WDFW and they sent someone to my house to pick it up.
They told me how much the collars cost to replace. I don't remember exactly but it was around $500 I think.

How much money does he make?  That way we can decide whether he is a "real" hunter or not.  :bash:

I went to school with this guy and he and his whole family are elk assasians....They are all very good hunters and have killed lots of elk.

My comment was in no way directed towards this hunter.  It was in regards to a debate that was going on at the time in the thread about the eastside governors bull.
