I recently moved to the area (from the East Coast) and know almost nothing about the local terrain. I'm interested in getting out in the woods (even if I don't fill my tag) for muzzleloading season. My expectations are low and I'm not looking for anyone to give away their secret hunting spot, but I would very much appreciate it if someone would be so kind to point me towards a very specific spot to hunt. I've searched the forums and have seen a few general areas to hunt, but I'm honestly a bit overwhelmed with the plethora of rules and caveats here in Washington, so I don't want to inadvertently get myself in trouble by hunting in the wrong area... I would rather hunt an area with fewer hunters (and therefore likely less deer), but I'll take what I can get...
p.s. after proofreading my post, I'm pretty sure it sounds like I'm just being lazy. (so I feel obligated to justify my request) I've spent several hours reading through the WDFW site, reading forums like this and have even driven up to Gifford Pinchot forest trying to find an area that might hold deer...but, alas, the more I read, the more new rules I find and the more intimidated I get... I'm in the military and move every 2 years, so I've had the opportunity to hunt in 6 or 7 different states in my career... everywhere else I've been, the rules are MUCH simpler and the public hunting lands are (for the most part) very clearly defined. Perhaps I'm missing something, but it just doesn't seem that way here

Anyway, respectfully request your sympathy in helping get me out in the woods!

Thanks
Mike
