how about we do 2 parts on the contest: a individual catergory and a team catergory with 2 members. a person can only be in one catergory.

THOUGHTS :dunno:

So will this be done on a points per hunt or season total basis? You could do either, I guess. I probably won't win or be close because I can't make it out as much as I want, but this game gets me even more pumped for the season :chuckle:
Everyone shoots three times per bird, right?

If you need any help with an excel setup let me know. I'd prefer not to maintain it, but I'm happy to get something going if you think it'd be fun.

have at it meats, go fix it for us. I said there was *censored* that needed to be worked out

No need. The whole idea of a killing contest is, well...................GAY
This is the kind of *censored* that is killing our sport.Guys make it all about kill numbers, bands, barrel stickers and black hoodies.
Makes the younger crowd look at hunting for all the wrong reasons.
To me time in the field wioth friends, family and a good dog is what it is all about..............not kill numbers.

A bunch of wanna be posers if you ask me.

To some of us waterfowling is a year round event with summers spent going to calling contest, making decoys(not buying them ) training and running dogs in hunt test and such.
Then some goobers dust off the ole scatter gun the weekend before season and want to rack up some kill numbers and call themselves "duck hunters".
The whole contest idea makes me sick.Hell some of these guys dont even know what species they are talking about.
Lord forgive me for I shoot hens

hey meats if youy stand back and look you are the one not helping the sport us guys that cant dedicate every minute to the sport that have families and jobs outside of the industry that hunt every chance we can within our limitations that still buy licenses and the decoys and shells and calls that keep this a growing sport and you look down your nose at us. i dont get to hunt a whole lot because of family and work but when im in the field i give 110% and give the birds the respect they deserve and you cant tell me there isnt friendly competition in your blind between you and your buddies this is just on a bigger scale if you dont want to participate then dont its that simple :twocents:

Yes a killing contest is completely what this is... no, it's a friendly competition to get more people involved. You just try to stir *censored* up around here Meats and that's well ....... GAY.
And BTW this contest isn't about overall kill numbers, barrel stickers nor is it about black hoodies. It's about fun. And as for the younger crowd looking at it the wrong way... no. This kind of "*censored*" won't make anyone young or old get their ass up at 3am to go kill a duck. That's not how any waterfowler looks at things when he/ she gets up at o' dark thirty. They look to have a good time in the blind with their buddies. I can guarantee to most waterfowlers, duck hunting is a year round event. They may not be in the calling contests or making their own decoys just because they lack the talent but I can guarantee you they are practicing calling and going through ideas for a better quality season. They are working with their dogs day in and day out. And for the species of duck comment as I know that was directed at me. You can kiss my ass. I said a couple of times I did that in 5 minutes. I wrote what came to mind. I've never hunted sea ducks before, never even seen one in person. I just thought of the few names I've heard. So stop bitching if you don't want to help and the whole idea of a contest makes you sick.

Wow pretty cocky for a 18 year old kid.
You always talk to adults that way.

If you want to have a contest to promote the sport have a contest for the biggest / smallest goose.
Have one for the pintail with the longest sprig.Lots of ways to do it without seeing who can "KILL THE MOST"

Sorry you are so wound up kid but kill numbers/points is just a dumb way to promote the sport.

See you can type a whole paragraph with out the need to cuss little fella ;)

Sorry  to everyone on this post but I made a simple joke about a oldsquaw and THE KID had to come out swinging.
I should have kept quiet and not replied to the "KID" but I typed without thinking.
Fishranger and carpsniper I meant no I'll feeling and thank both of you for replying like men and not swearing like a sailor trying to be tough.

Now for ducks55 I will be in Eburg several times this season so if you really want to be tough and stand by your "kiss my ass" comment...........we can meet up and see if you really want to say that to me.
