thanks, Yeah one of those frictionless game sleds made it pretty easy to get him outta there. Then a little trailblazing and chainsaw action helped get a truck pretty far back there.

Good job spencer . I'm glad I was able to help you out . you and your father are good guys and I'm glad to have met both of you. good luck on your degree at wsu.
Thanks alot coach, my dad liked your group all good guys. Hope you sent some of those photos on to dan.
I hunt for peace of mind.

Spencer, I was hoping you would connect with a good bull.  I wish my first bull was that impressive.  Congrats!

Outstanding bull!  I had heard you were riding around and asking about big bulls.  I hunt those same units year after year!  The tag you drew is probably one of the best tags to be drawn for!  Hopefully you were joking about the trailblazing and cutting a path to get into the woods to get the animal out however.  That is something that archery and muzzle loader hunters have to deal with year after year with our seasons.  Can't take one out too far unless you are able to pack it out before it spoils!  Once again, Congratulations!

no doubt any bull is a throphy , your young enough to draw another great tag in your life . now you have a bench mark next time and theres a ton of guys who pick a bull apart and havn't killed one . there's a ton of memories from a great hunt least of wich should be the size of the horns . you got alot of years ahead of you and meat in the freezer , Congrats Again Coach. btw his trail blazing was la-git by permission through private property. what kills me is the guys that blaze down closed roads while hunting .

That's  a great first Elk. The hunt is not about the size of animal you get. Its the experience of the hunt , People you hunt with, and the great stories you get to tell when you get back home. Like I said before Great Elk. Enjoy it  While we all envy  your trophy  :IBCOOL:
