Cool bucks fellas, putting one of them down is a challenge in it's self.  Never shot a non-typical but my buddy's dad did a few years back.  Hopefully this year will be the year of the blacktail for me.  Good luck to all. :)

I will look for the picture but a guy in kitsap a few years ago got one with dropped tines on both sides each drop forked, and one side each fork forked. it was pretty cool

Not really a non-typical as to antlers but the deer I have as my avatar is definitely not your typical blacktail. I got the blondie in 1989 late hunt between Barlow Pass and Darrington up the Skull Creek drainage. I have the hide also and the tail is just a light shade of brown. The rest is blonde.

Here's last year's buck.  Live weight was 189lbs.  My experience with blacktails around here is you will probably see more non-typicals than typicals on the more mature deer.

holy cow i really like that...Yah if i can get a picture of it i have a friend that shot one that looks a little heavier but same color..Shoot over near lake quinalt way out on the penninula...
