Interested in coming to the islands?  Lots of coons and I think I might be able to talk a few of my neighbors into allowing access.  Easy running and mostly flat.  Are you selling the hides?    Eating them?

Lokidog,  I dont shoot all coons and I dont eat Coon..  I shot one first week Sept and Released Most of them. Why because I wanna to go hunting more Often where Coons are hanging out in Wood,  I am pretty much FULL TIME with my family  and Horses and two good frineds lives in Idaho that I been hunt with and We personal got Idaho Non-Residnece hounds Permits on my Wife and I have been going there and back a lot. Thanks for asking.
Right now I have to stop hunting due to Rifle season Open soon. Maybe get back to hunt sometime in Nov or so. We will see...

Maybe Next year if I dont draw anything on either two states. I could get together..

Owner contact us to come track down Coons,  8 chickens got killed by Raccoons Family with in three half weeks. Spend few times to shoot some but only Treed one and Lost another     Lost Mother Coon and two babies Raccoons. Hopefully we could help to stop Raccoon from killing any Chickens.

you can always call coons, find there den area, set out a fighting raccoons fight sounds on you call and they will come in and want in on some action, does not have to be at night.  wind/camo/ predator hunting rules apply but decoys will help( may get mauled though) and be careful not to shot your call

I wish I could make a Call. It would be so Hard for me when I am deaf. I couldnt tell if I am doing right or wrong. I could buy Foxpro. it would be a little tougher when I cant HEAR when those Animals making noise walking thur brush rustting coming CLOSE to me.     I would not be able to success myself.   But I am just helping a family who lost some Chickens and we caught pretty most of it with my dogs.

Maybe next year, I will try learn how to do all Callers somehow.

I have tried cold calling for raccoons in area where I have seen sign but no luck so far.  If you find their den tree you will probably have much more luck.

Sundance,  Yes  my frined have done this and sometime Dogs happen to taste Rotten Fish and End up VERY VERY SICK next day. I tried to collar shock my dogs and trainned them  NOT touch any Dead Rotten Fishes or MANY things. My dogs has done great job not to bother it.....  I cant promise  one day my dogs might ate something when I wasnt around.  :bash

Sundance,  Agreed.  And thanks. I will. Almost to next saturday Oct 16th then I Must stop coon hunting and waitting thur deer rifle until Elk Rifle over with. Probablly around Nov middle.

     i just got texts today from owners lost chicken this morning by 3 coons and he couldn't find them in wood. Asked me to come but i am stuck working wish  could get them killed now or before 16 th of oct. I will see....  will post pics if any luck.

I grew up running coons...love it!!  I wish there were a bunch more up here!  Here's a picture of Tana with her first coon.  She's been on a few more since then.  Whisper treed one the other morning above my chicken coop...
