My dad bought a "trained" blue tick when I was a kid in WI. He decided to get rid of it after the third time out with no coons and he had to lift it over a foot and a half tall fence that it refused to jump over..... A friend's dog did well so we had some fun chasing anywaysw.

You can hunt with dogs, you can hunt at night, you can even hunt september, october, and november, you just can't hunt a unit that is open to centerfire rifle. therefore, if your hunting with a .22 caliber...use a rimfire or a pellet gun. That is the way I've always interpreted anyways, I use to have a coon dog. We've ran bear, cougar and coon.Awesome pictures. I've wanted to get back into it really bad...need to find time. You should get involved in the Washington State Coonhunters Association.
