Shot this one Saturday evening! Teeth are worn down to pretty much nothing. Not sure on the weight, but am guessing around 280lbs.

i would think: it is to hold the tag on so he did not have to poke a hole in the bear and mess it up for the taxidermist.
but maybe he was mending a broken paw

I guess being from Montana, I take things for granted that people will recognize what stuff really is. It is not an ace bandage, but this stuff called Duct tape. It is the neatest stuff. You can fix anything with it. Attach tags on animals, fix boots that may have been left to close to the camp fire when you are miles from the truck, re-attach fiberglass that may have been ripped off from small trees that get in the way in the woods. I really think the people who made this stuff are on to something.
Just a little morning humor. Thanks for the compliments!

Right off of your dad's Deck Ballance! Just kidding. I work with your dad and he told me about his little bear friends that visit his house.
