selling of a few old guns
« on: March 01, 2011, 03:48:46 PM »
My dad has two old guns that he wants me to try and sell for him. I went on gunbroker last night to see if I could find some similar guns because I don't have any idea how much to ask for them. I found an antique dealer in Wyoming that was selling a gun very similar to one we are trying to get rid of. I emailed him to see if he sells many guns like that, what kind of success he has and if he would be interested in buying ours at less then what he is selling the one for and then he could turn around and sell it. He asked if I could mail it to his location for him to take a look and give me a bid. Does that seem odd?

So, I'm going to say it doesn't sound that odd to me.

You did contact him first.  If he's a reputable guy, what's the problem?  If he's not reputable, well....

What else is he supposed to do:
1)  Just buy it.
2)  Just not buy it.

Not sure he has much choice besides having you send it to him.

Put them in the Classifieds.

This is locked.
