Went to Drano Lake on Thu. and Fri. caught lots of fish. here are some of the keepers. On Friday afternoon we went to Bonneville dam and looked at the fish windows. Lots of big fish there.

using the red bait shrimp casting out and reeling in really slow. also just dropping it over the side of the boat in about 14-15 feet of water. they weren't hitting it hard. just nibbling at it. The bite was light sometimes and sometimes they would run with it. Most of the time they would eat the heads off the shrimp.

yeah they have been bad about suckin brains this year. i had about 20 shrimp in one day get the heads sucked off at the white salmon. early on when we were bobber fishin, they would grab it and you bobber would just shoot to the bottom. you hardly didn't have to set the hook. then the last 3-4 times i was down their they were just playin with it and would not give a guy a soild take down. a guy had to be on edge and ready to swing to any moment because they where just taste in it.  :chuckle:

Yeah carp the steelhead didn't hardly take the bobber down this year. Most of the time they would just mess with it, on still days you could see your bobber go down the corkie and shoot right back up in about 1 second, they would do this until you shrimp was gone :bash:. After that I just started swinging on em when they did that, got a few missed a lot :bash:
