Define normal.   There has been moose there a long time.   The fire was pretty hard on them.   They are recovering.   You won't see alot of them but they are there and have been for some time.

You never know where you are going to see a moose in the county anymore.  They're becomming a lot more common.  I wouldn't be surprised if there is a permit on the west side of the county in the future.

I've seen moose in that area for years. Even a little lower closer to the valley. (Methow)

Now since the fire, there should be alot more feed for them, so hoping they take off, but with all the rumors of wolves hanging there and now some from the north, who knows.

The Colville tribe hunts them up there.  There, and on Disateul and Omak Mtn.

I know a guy who lives up near Cook Mt/Loop Loop Creek and they have seen a moose or two for about the last 7 or 8 years.

Yup they are there!  I saw two bull moose a few weeks ago coming down from Rock Lakes towards Loup Loup.  Also heard of one two years ago on Fox Mt. before it burned up.
