The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

For most hunters the tikka is a better deal, great out of the box shooter that wont need anything done to it. I prefer Remington 700's, with a little tweaking, trigger job and bedding you end up with a heck of a rifle.Theres way more aftermarket parts for the Remington and ever gunsmith in the country will work on a Remington.I don't really dislike the tikka but mine just fells like a cold piece of steel/plastic, no character.I agree completely. And if you reload, there is a .6" jump to the lands for a standard lenght cartridge on the Tikka. That is way to much of a jump in my opinion.

cant say enough about my tikka, had great luck with it. Nothing wrong with the 700's thow........wouldnt go with a scoped combo, your gunna want good quality glass and for that kind of money i dont think thats what your gunna get
I love my Tikka T3 300WSM. It is like packing around a toy. Great if you do a lot of packing or rida a mountain bike. The stainless version is great for the wet westside. One downside is that I got ahold of some ammunition one year that does not work at all with the Tikka. I can't remember which it was, but it was so bad that at 100 yards you would hit all over a target, if you even hit the target. I looked on the Cabela's website and there was a long list of people complaining about the ammunition with their Tikka's. As long as I reload or avoid that ammunition then it shoots great.
