well this weekend i was supposed  get my new rifle,but my mom was in a car accident, my mom was on her way back from haden lake when some idiotic girl wasnt paying attention ( texting on her friggon phone ) turned out of the median at 50 miles an hour without looking and swipped the front of the car, she hit four trees avoiding dead on hits every time and ended up in some guys lawn who saw the entire thing, luckily. so last night we were at the hospital till 10 and the cop came in and told us that the girl that hit my mom had a warrent for an arrest so at least shes in jail  .my mom has two broken ribs two broken fingers and her wrist is pretty jacked up but she avoided getting hit in the head, shes really sore today but overall shes happy because it could have been way worse my mom said since it was the other girls fault she wont have to pay anything so she insisted i get my rifle even though i feel bad about getting one.

thanks they said if she gets rest on it and puts ice in it every day she will be heeled within 4-6 weeks so it will take  while but shes doing fine right now

Tikka group at 200 yards on the white paper and 300 yards on the cardboard.  300 win mag with a lightened trigger and a muzzle brake.  Custom handloads precisely loaded.  I had to buy a new plastic clip because my brother lost it.  Small price to pay for accuracy.  I love my tikka.

well guys saturday was the day! we went to cabelas with our 100$ of coupon and bought the tikka t3  light for only 499.99$  we get to go pick up the gun on the 21st unless  they call and say we can pick it up earlier im really excited and everyone thanks for all the help in choosing a gun i cant believe it took so long to get but i am happy its here now... well almost

To unload a blind-magazine rifle, turn it on its side so that the loading port faces downward and tilt the muzzle up slightly (pointed in safe direction).  Push the bolt far enough forward that it pops a round loose from the magazine but doesn't chamber it.  Withdraw the bolt and the round will slide free of the action (hopefully into your waiting hand).  This takes seconds.  You do NOT have to chamber every round - that is absolutely false. 

The blind magazine a la Remington ADL or a select few Winchesters, is the very best system for big game hunting, bar none.  It is completely and utterly foolproof.  I would never own or hunt with a detachable magazine, and I favor my ADL rifles over my drop floorplate models.

I'd have to agree with the blind mag being foolproof but a lot of guys hunt close to their rig, short hikes and back to the truck, loading when getting out, unloading when getting back to the truck.
I might have to load and unload my rifle six times in a day in the area I hunt elk.
A floor plate or DM is just so convenient.
My lightweight hiking rifles are ADL but they get used more on longer hikes when I'm not loading/unloading a bunch in a day.
