Hey, anybody scouted or hunted the Roosevelt 133/Wilbur area? If so, have you seen whitetail up high and Muleys down low? Wondering with this light winter what the population is like in that area?

Im hearing that its OK, not great, good numbers, just not mature yet. lots of 1x, and 2x.
Hunting is tough, its even tougher when your stupid!!

Had a buddy go over for the muzz opener. He had a buck tag and a second doe tag. He said he didn't even see a single buck. Missed two does.  :dunno:   Sounds like a great weekend to me.  Seriously, I started hunting over there about six years ago(rifle). The first year was awesome. Saw probably 10-12 legal bucks in two days, we got three nice 4 points.   Got progressively worse year after year. Went over last year with a muzz tag and saw does and maybe 2 legal bucks. Dont think I'll go  back this year.

Deer numbers are down from the last 2 winters, and not very many mature bucks
