So let's talk food. What do you bring for a multi night trip? How much do you bring?

I like trail mix and apples- easy to eat on the go and good energy, better than candy 'cause the energy lasts longer.  I also like to pack PB&J sandwiches.  This year I'm going to try the hiker food in the duck blind- I can't remember its name, but I saw it at Wholesale Sports the other day.

Hell yes! I love spam. Eat it like its going out of style. Other than that Jerky, granola bars, trail mix, apples, pears, water, if you have something to heat up water instant oatmeal.

i like a baggy of trail mix & a mre, one a day will work for me.

i agree take what you like to eat but make sure it has good energy for you and not just a bunch of sugars, also kinda crazy if you take cucumber slices is had a ton of Vitamin B which give you a burst like soda or coffee without the crash and it's health.  Yogurt and Granola in the Morning always seemed to start my day of with a bang for hunting

We must be a little weird,at our base camp we bring everything from salmon & oisters, steaks,salad, biscuts & gravy ect..always hope for back straps or liver & onions. If nothing else we eat good.

I'm going the instant coffee/MRE route this year

The MRE's were only a few bucks a piece (quite a few good looking options too meal-wise) and the instant coffee seems to be a must. Other than those, trailmix, granola bars, energy bars and jerky will be going up with me

For the trailer we'll precook a full casserole pan of Tatertot/Bean and at least one Lasagna casserole from scratch. I keep them both in the fridge and will cook/reheat one and get two nights dinners out of it. There's always canned food in the cupboard, corn, beens, (Busches), chunky soups, Ramen, Cup O Noodles, Spagetti, several boxes of some hamburger helper or chicken helper (great for Grouse), box or two of Garlic Mash taters. Ragu. The fridge of the trailer always has pretty much anything you could find in the home kitchen. Right down to a jar of Salsa. We wrap one pound hamburger frozen. I always take a bag of chicken breasts. Dinner in the trailer can be anything we would have at home. Have generator for the microwave, (popcorn), to reheat stuff, and the range/oven is quite capable. I used to take fixin's for Bobali Pizza all the time. Now I just take a couple frozen Tony's or Red Baron pizza's. Steaks! Trailer has a BBQ that plums right into the main propane lines so there is often some grillin goin on. Burgers and hot dogs too. Tuna sandwitches. Banana's and other fruit. Costco red liquorish tub. Bags of chips in the cupboard. Jerky and Sunflower seeds for our fanny packs. Trail mix too! Propel and cans of pop under the benches. Bottled water. Edit: Oh hell, I forgot, there's oatmeal, eggs, BACON, SAUSAGE, Poptarts, Cherios, MILK too.

Back packin its a whole lot different.  Ramen/CupOnoodles broken out of packaging into large freezer ziplock, can of tuna, half pound of peanut butter, trail mix, jerky, sunflower seeds, dried mango slices, some form of granola bars, (I don't buy the expensive energy bars), water, fruit for the first couple days or so.  I have a food dehydrator that I should use more. Mountain house. Pretty much anything that is dry and needs water to eat. Those little packets of Lipton chicken soup sure hit the spot on a cold hike.

I am gonna go out and camp at this bowl I've hunted a few times for a night or two this coming deer season...but never really hit it hard. I bought some just add hot water meals...only two, as I wanted to try em out. Then I will probably bring some apples, trail mix, PB and J, instant coffee....not going to be out there for forever, just a few nights....im really looking forward to it!

If you run outta food or need a hot meal, we will be camped a short distance away.

Opening weekend I'll be at my normal spot with the boys. Once they go home and back to school Monday, If I/we haven't tagged out, I'll be backpacking into a spot less traveled for a couple nights if need be.

Anything is possible this year. The trailer will have food stuffs for a backpack trip.

I hope that Mountain House meal was a beef beef stroganoff.  That stuff is actually really good!  Just needs a dash of salt and pepper.
