I'm not gonna even try.  I shot a sow in Crescent City about the size of your last one that the CA dept of F & G said was 9.5 yrs old.  How 'bout the hunter?  Not too long in the tooth yet.

Most of you are pretty close.

Here are the ages that were given to my by WDFW.

1. 2.5
2. 4.5
3. 4.5

It was interesting to me that the 4.5 year old boar and sow were almost 50% different in weight and that the 1st and 3rd were two years apart in age but the same weight.

I will see if I can did up some more pics of bears that I have age data for in a day or so.

Thanks for posting the ages. I've always found it interesting to find out the ages of our bears.

Mine.....
1999- 8-1/2 yrs. boar 225lbs. (Black w/black muzzle) 80 yards 7:00am
2000- 3-1/2 yrs. boar 150 lbs. (black w/ brown muzzle) 125 yards 12:00 noon
2002- 6-1/2 yrs.boar 200 lb. (choolate) 75 yads 7:30 am

My brothers......
1999- 2-1/2 yrs. sow 100 lbs. (Jet black w/black muzzle) 100 yards 7:00am

Actually I should have had a 3rd that year, but I chose to take my bow instead of a rifle with me to POW.
