Weyerhauser land?

I have contacted the weyerhauser recreation line and got the usual recording. Are weyerhauser lands open to hunting, or are there some that are closed? I see the "no motorized access" signs and no campfires but there are not any "no trespassing" or "no hunting" signs the gates just say if you block the gate you will be towed. Can anyone clarify this for me or give me a number to contact an actual person, when I did get hold of a lady she gave me the automate hot line. is there a map of weyerhauser lands to see? Any info would be great. I want to hunt in the coweeman unit.

What do you need clarifying? Your post say's it all. No motorized vehicles and no campfires. If you weren't supposed to access it or hunt it, it would say so. If they close it generally it's only during fire danger. So go hunting.

Unless the sign says that the road/area is "Closed to Public Access" then it is open (exception: fire danger closure or active work area) for walk in, bicycle or horse travel.   The "No Motorized Access" is just that, cannot drive a motorvehicle or ATV or motorcycle on that road/area.  

If you park and walk in, just be sure you are parked far enough away from the gate/off to the side to not prevent it from being opened and vehicles to pass by and you will have no worries about getting towed.

There are maps availble for Weyerhauser at several different stores, for the Coweeman unit, you want the St Helen's Tree Farm map.   If you are in the Longivew area, Bob's Sporting Goods has these and several other maps.

We got some rain in the early season this year and I asked if some of the roads in the Toutle area would open as a result. I was told "No" by a weyerhauser employee. He said they have had serious problems with people dumping garbage (appliances, couches, etc) on their land.

The gates were open this weekend.  Call the hotline.  You can drive in if it says that motorized access is allowed and the gate is open.  You have to walk or bike if the hotline says motorized access not allowed.  You can purchase maps for the various tree farms.

there should also be a sign on each road with either a green, yellow or red dot. green your good to go, yellow i believe is week ends only. and red is no motorized vehicles.

Yup, I haven't seen any in Snoqualmie (plenty of spraying signs though)

Each place has its own specific regs, I'd definitely get some concrete info before heading in

Right. For Weyerhaeuser you need to call 1-866-636-6531.
