Late Archery near Grand Coulee
« on: October 05, 2010, 04:10:56 PM »
Hey all,

I will be working up in Grand Coulee installing some equipment in November and was wondering if anyone would be willing to share some very GENERAL starting point for a walk in day hunt? I'm looking for a WT in 121. Dont really expect much just want to get into an area where I might get lucky and run into a deer.

Again I will be hunting late archery in November. I am assuming mulies? Thanks for anyone with any general starting points. I understand that this may be annoying to some but I am trying to squeeze in a couple of day hunts since I will be over there anyhow. Any help is appreciated.

  Good luck to you!

Tough bow hunting country and a lot of prime unhuntable rez land around Grand Coulee as far as the muleys go, but there's plenty of whitetail country if you head east towards Hunters and the surrounding areas.  Good luck.

Thanks MtnMuley! Speaking of heading east is there any national forest/State land available to hunt. I am looking into getting a few maps of the area, trying to keep my costs down on this thing but I figured since i will be in the general area and have a weekend free, might as well. I've got a friend that has private land in the Okanagan but that drive will be much longer.

You cant hunt mulies at all in nov in 121, only WT from nov 25 to dec 15. If you want to hunt mulies in nov from grand coulee hunt 272 beezly, i think it might be a good place to start. I have heard it's an awsome hunt if you find a place to hunt, Good luck

Lots of public land if you head east to hunt whitetail on.  The DNR should have a pretty good map showing public land in the Hunters country.  Your friends offer might not be a bad bet either.
