For bear now I almost always use either Bearmanric's or Rainshadow's hand calls.  Both make outstanding sounding predator calls and they both tune them nice and raspy for me.

intresting, i have never heard a javelina distress call before. i have the javelina demise sound on my foxpro. it is a very raspy distress call.

Remember, animals are curious and will come to a variety of calls for a variety of reasons. Never be afraid of trying something new.

yep for sure! one of the local guy has called cougars with a goat distress sound. you never know i also like the raspy calls over high pitch for bears and yotes. cats on the other hand seem to like the high pitched bird sounds. the medow lark is a killer ;)

I've had luck with "Primos Lil' Dog". I would like to try any prototype calls if anybody wants to send me one. Then I'd give you my
feed back. :chuckle:

Hi Ric when are you back in town? I still want to get one of your african horned howlers that I talked to you about at the BBQ this summer. I say african horned because I cannot remember what you called it.
