26" wide
159" net
7 1/2 y.o.
175 lb dressed
As long as we have the habitat, we can argue forever about who gets to kill what and when.  No habitat = no game.

Hey, I live close to this area and hunt some areas with similar genetics.  From what I have seen, that is a 4 year old deer scoring just shy of 160 and about 25 inches outside, 22 inside.  I got one similar this year with slightly better front forks that scored right at 160.  For an area that has not been hunted in ten years, there should be some five or six year old deer, if you think you can find this buck later, then it might be wise to keep looking around.  There are a couple 180 inch plus bucks that come out of that unit every year on public ground and the bucks will start showing signs of rutting this week, so if there are a lot of does in the area, the older bucks might appear.  If this is the biggest buck you have seen and she is happy with him, then I guess score doesn't matter.

Sorry guys!  Unfortunatly, this dude got dropped at the taxi before I could put the tape to him, but I do know he was about 27 wide.  Again hate to leave you hangin, but...
