Any Past Book Cliffs Tag Holders?
« on: October 07, 2010, 10:55:44 AM »
Finally pulled a tag after 12 years worth of points.  Have lots of maps and a game plan, but wondered if we have any past tag holders on here that might offer some additional insight?

I'd be happy to call or PM you.

Thanks.

That's a gem of a tag.  Have you searched "Book Cliffs" on the MM site?

I drew that tag 2008 was tough hunting the weather was crap as in it was hot the hunting was not very good that year
I think from the info i got from locals the weather plays big role in getting the winter migration otherwise there stuck in the
rolling hills that are thick with juniper - pinion  tough to see in  hope you have better luck than i had . some big bucks in that area  i seen more deer right close to colorado line .. ton of elk down there

Someone hold me back, I want to beat him with something.  He draws more damn tags. :chuckle:  Take some pics while you are donw there.  Especially of the big bulls you will probably be seeing.  And bring me back one of those sheds so I can beat you with it. :)

MuleDeerCrazy send daydreamn a pm, he is my brother and lives down there. His wife drew the roadless tag a few years ago, took a nice 375" bull out of there. They spend alot of time down there in the fall im sure he could give you some information.

Sorry just noticed this was in the deer forum not elk. Either way he still knows the area pretty good.

Will do, thanks Elkslayer.  Come on Bone... even a blind hog gets an acorn once in a while!  Maybe I should just transfer the tag over to you, that would probably make the wife a little happier.
