WY Speedgoat Trip
« on: October 08, 2010, 12:51:23 PM »
Well, just got back from our antelope trip.  Six of us (me, my daughter, my dad; and my buddy, his kid and dad) had 17 tags for north of Rock Springs.  We shot two the first night, seven the next day, five the next day, and three the last morning.  Not sure what I was thinking, I don't want to see another antelope for quite a while!

Here's a few shots.

Enjoy!

Great pics. Nice to see that you kids got their goats. The cutters on the last one look huge and the first buck looks long.
Very nice. Good job.  :guns:

Looks like a great trip.  Congrats on getting the kids on some Goats as well.
I didn't say it was your fault, I said I was blaming you.
If I ageed with you, then we'd both be wrong.

Nice job

I feel you pain, we did our part in reducing the lope population by filling 10 tags and it is a lot of work  :bash:
Spent one whole day just processing the lope's I brought home, but the peperoni sure is good  :EAT: (lust took them out of the smoker this morning and now have the summer sausage in it)

Greats times with family are always worth the hard work and create memories  :hello:

Wow looks like ya nailed them good. The look on the kids faces makes it so worth it. Just a few more days and with any luck I can see that luck on my sons face.

Anybody that has kids and is wanting to take them on a fun hunt needs to take them on an antelope hunt.  It took me 43 yrs to get to wyoming and hunt them.  It was the most fun I have ever had on a hunt.  I have  been  packing a gun since I was 10, and been to many states hunting many things, and the wyoming antelope trip last year was the best.  Daylight till dark, antelope everywhere.  So if you want your kids or wife to have a fun time, heck if you and a buddy or two just want to get away and have a good time go on a antelope hunt and enjoy.  By the way, great job on your hunt with friends and family.  I'm sitting here wishing it was me.  The pix were great.  People lets keep our kids busy in the outdoors, and out of trouble.  Show them right from wrong, so they will pass it on to there kids.
