Hello all, I started a post about Ruger Frontiers and got no responses. I am now asking for any input on the Savage scout rifle in .308 it is called the Savage 10 FCM Scout rifle. Any help would be greatly appreciated, thanks again.

If that is the rifle you are looking at it is a regular old Savage 10 with accutrigger aside from the scope mount and removable magazine, I hunt with a Savage 10 in .308 and can tell you it's very accurate and dependable but I don't think I would like it in a scout configuration. A lever action or semi-auto would probably best take advantage of the scout setup. That factory stock sucks but will work just fine for hunting.

The reason there are so many Ruger upgrades is because they're necessary.

FC thanks for the info. I have the other guns you mentioned but am just looking for something a little different in.308. I think it will be a good truck gun. My primary survival gun besides my pistol is my Springfield M-6 Scout. I fold it in half and put it in my pack and go. Its .22 l.r. and .410. Just so you know I also contemplated the Ruger Frontier it is a great gun but it is no longer in production. It alo does not have iron sights in case of a scope failure. Again thanks for your time in responding.
