I said no.. But that would also weigh on what I'd have been seeing and how long I was into the hunt. Very good looking buck though. Range to target, location to private land with ability to recover the animal or not might have crossed my mind. Later into the hunt, I'd have plugged him. I don't bow hunt but if I did... Let arrow fly if there's a good shot opportunity. I will occasionally hunt with pistol. Dead buck with pistol. But I wouldn't bet my luck on a permit hunt to only hunt with pistol.

sorry for the late response, new to the site...

after being drawn for alkali with archery last year and having to take a 19 inch 2x3 on the last day... I would shoot that buck on opening morning if i had the shot
