I used to hunt in whites, mine were heavy but they are nice boots.  They seem I be loosing a lot of customers to nicks boots here in Spokane.  They both might offer a custom built hunting boot, and they will fit your feet the best, as the are custom fit.  I would check out both whites and nicks of you have problems with proper fitting boots.

Bought the terrane Kenetrek. Have been wearing them on the farm daily for a month before deer season. Then for elk season the same problem. .Maybe I should have just got the Mountain Extreme. Have blisters on both heels. Wearing the kenetrek liners socks with their heavy wool sock. put Bandaids on heels every time I use them.. Stopped lacing them on the top loop that helped . THey are great on mildly hilly ground but going up hill for extended periods of time just tears my heels up... Not giving up on them but ...

Try Moleskin on your heels. Go to a thicker sock as it sounds like there is still some room in your boots

I love my Kenetrek Mountain Extreme Non-insulated.  This is the first season on them, down to the blues for an elk hunt, and up on the ONP for a wet muzzy elk hunt.  I dropped a knife on the toe a month after I had them....put a hole through the top......Carter's service the ones who fix em said they would just freesole it....I did that and they still don't leak.  They lace tighter than my Meindl Canadas, which is what sold me on them.  I've wornout two pair of the meindls as work/hunting boots, the Kenetreks won't be worn at work becasue of that.  At work I wear Danner Super Rainforests, a vibram sole pair, and a corked pair for the brush.  They are good boots, but don't have the support of the kenetreks, and are heavier.  If you buy Danner buy good American made ones like the Super Rainforest, fewer leaks, rebuildable, and not complete garbage.  The Kenetrek is a far superiour hunting boot, but if you want a work boot get Danners.
