3D rest help?
« on: October 10, 2010, 09:54:38 PM »
Last year was my first year doing 3D shoots and I had a blast! This year I'm setting up a bow for basically only 3D. I'm having trouble deciding on a rest, I keep going back and forth between the limbdriver and one of the spring steel type rests. I'm planning on shooting a light fat shaft arrow. I may want to hunt with it a little so the limbdriver may come in a little more handy for that but I have a rest kicking around somewhere I could always throw on before hunting season. Anyone have any expierence good or bad with either of these?

Thanks!
Team nubby!

Check out what the top guys are using.  Pretty much all Trophy Taker Spring Steel lizard tongue-style.  Looking at the Shooter of the Year profiles, and it's 90% TT spring steel.  Gotta be a reason for that.....  If you need to hunt with it, then changing rests doesn't take much to get it tuned in to hunt.

TT is good as well as Spot-Hogg Infinity or a pro tuner.  I like the Spot-Hogg for it's tunability but own all three.

Thanks guys, I think I'm gonna go with the tt ss!

Get the new pro with the adjustable blade angle.
I have always shot the spring steel one but have to mount the rest with a forward tilt to get the blade angle I like.
The new Pro allows you to do that without it looking like you mounted your rest crooked ;)
