We hunted over there last year. Seen about 50 on the way into camp on Friday. Saturday morning, didn't see a damn thing.  :chuckle:

Isn't it every night. At least it looks like that every time I go in during the season :chuckle:

Methow, and then to Anderson Island (2nd tag) on private property.

307.4 miles from home.  Give or take a few feet!  :chuckle:

Headed to the 204 Friday morning early.  Spent many a weekend this summer/fall building a new cabin on the property and I can't wait to get over there and enjoy it with some good friends.

Didn't you see those 50 deer when driving thru Mazama,Winthrop and Twisp on your way to camp.
Everyone knows there are very few to no deer in 204, and the ones you see are just scrawny little whitetail does...
To hunt and butcher an animal is to recognize that meat is not some abstract form of protein that springs into existence tightly wrapped in cellophane and styrofoam.

Grayback...hope we get some weather to start the migration, This will be my very first rifle hunt, been a bowhunter for 16 years. I've hunted the late archery season there several times and seen quite a few good bucks out of range for the old stick and string. Going up with buddies and family.
A hunt based only on trophies taken falls far short of what the ultimate goal should be, time to commune with your inner soul as you share the outdoors with the birds, the animals, and fish that live there”.- Fred bear

Somewhere north of Winthrop.

I'll be up in the woods, by the big tree.
