First... why would you not want to shoot Mallards?  :dunno: And what are *censored*ter ducks? And yeah go to the water like said above.. Go do some scouting yourself. Damn dude, you're obviously not a little kid. No one is going to take you by the hand or shove a cookie in your mouth just because you're hungry for information. There a lot of resources out there that don't require you to go out and scout but really that is THE best way to find out where the ducks are at, what they are eating so you know areas to target, etc...

WDFW has the gohunt maps on their site. Check them out and learn some boundaries so you don't get in trouble.
Google Earth is a good resource for pre-planning areas you are interested in. You will find water on their that you didn't even know existed.
But really the best tool is a tank full of gas, a pair of bino's and patience.
