Whidbey pics-first set
« on: October 13, 2010, 10:30:24 AM »
First time for the trail cam this year.  Left it out for 6 days and ended up with 345 pics.  Mostly does and these 2 little bucks. My 9 year old son gets to hunt this year and that little 2x3 would be a perfect 1st deer.  We're are only going to be able to hunt it this year because the guy who owns the property is getting rid of it around the 1st of the year.  I'm hoping something a little bigger will pop up but I know he will be more than happy with this buck.  We are both really excited for late muzzleloader.

Blackridge- I actually got the cam last year and used it a lot.  It's just a cheap bushnell that I picked for about $100 but for that price I have to say it gets the job done.

Looks like that forkie is about to do some scratchin'.  There's a buck around our house that seems to be scratching everytime he comes around.  Maybe he is itching for some hot lead in his boiler room.

How long did you bait that, and let it soak?

Only a week.  I just wanted to see if there was anything even in this area before I wasted any time with it.  I still have the trailcam out there so I'm hoping something for me might pop up but either of those 2 bucks would be great for my son's first deer.

I know it looks a little ridiculous.  I put a bunch out there because I didn't think I would get back out to check it for a couple of weeks and I wanted to see what would come in.
