Montana Success
« on: October 13, 2010, 10:40:35 AM »
Hey everyone.
Though I would post a quick story and some pictures from MT this year.

Back in mid Sept My buddies Jason and Bobby, our cameraman Nik and Myself headed to Mt to elk hunt.
We hunted for two weeks. the third Day of hunting Bobby drew first blood on a long tined 4x5 with a long range (8 feet) shot.
Two days later I passed up a nontypical 6x2 and 6 other smaller bulls (a act I ended up regreting)

On day 7 when elk hunting was slow due to heat we stumbled across a decent mulie buck that made the mistake of letting me get within 60 yards of him.

Day 10 We called in this beautiful 5X6 that Jason shot at 25 yards.

In the final 4 days of hunting I had shots deflected on two diffrent big bulls and ended up going home empty handed.

This past weekend Nik and Myself went back to montana to squeeze in a few more days of hunting before season ended. on Oct 12th I was able to sneak in on 5x5 in his bed and finely get my MT elk tag punched.

Whacker-  I think we are going to spend some time filming some youth doe hunts around the spokane area. Then I am not sure what is next.

Elkslare- We actually didnt come across any wolf sign. We sure saw plenty the first week of sept in ID though.

Everyone keeps talking about all the wolves in Idaho.I am not doubting them, but when we were there for our elk hunt in September, I did not here one. our see any tracks.  :) Thank the good lord for that. Hope they stay out.
Did you do any good in Idaho? I am assuming you were archery hunting for elk?

sweet job man. I shot my bull on the last day of our Montana hunt. It almost made me appreciate it even more after all the hard work that we put in!  :IBCOOL:

Nice job guys 8)
Before you criticize someone, you should walk a mile in their shoes.  That way, when you criticize them, you're a mile away and you have their shoes.
