N.E. Washington 3pt Or better ?
« on: October 13, 2010, 12:55:05 PM »
Has anyone heard if they made N.E. Washington whitetail hunting 3 point's or better ? The reg's don't say so... But I heard it through the grapevine..  Went to the WDFW page...   and in the "weekender" tab...  they said something about it...  They said Mt. Spokane area was the only area for "any buck"...  and the rest were 3 pt. I'd have just thought if thats their final decision...  they would have made a stronger announcment somewhere elso more visual. ??????

Did you also look at the weekender on WDFW page....   It did'nt really say mule deer or whitetail...   but then I'm not the sharpest interpreter either    :P

The proposal by the Stevens County commissioners was for a 4 point minimum but the WDFW commission shot it down.

Thanks all...  I'm not deer hunting again this year...  I'm to busy hunting upland and waterfowl...  But I have alot of hunters that hunt my place...  and most of them are out of the area..  Seattle, Quincy, Othello area...  and I just don't want to have to bail em out   :chuckle:

Wayne, the proposal is for two units 121 and 117 to start a 4 pt restriction next year. It has not been appoved or disapproved yet by the commission. It is still in the review stage. :twocents:

You can rely on the published big game regulations and errata which are available here:
http://wdfw.wa.gov/publications/00766/wdfw00766.pdf

Whatever it states is valid for this hunting season.

I think if you read that a little closer the first paragraph of Eastern Washington under hunting is about the Northeast district and the second paragraph where it talks about the 3pt. restriction is about the Central district. The person who wrote the article didnt clarify things very clearly!  :bash:
