JACOBS 2ND DEER 2009
« on: October 13, 2010, 11:55:34 AM »
This was my son Jacob's 2nd deer. One shot quatering away from us on a dead run.  Hit him behind the left lung and it went thru both and lodged in his right shoulder.  Remington 700 BDL 270 130 grain. Whats almost as much fun as shooting a good deer is celebrating it with your friends at 12 yrs old!
I predict future happiness for Americans if they can prevent the government from wasting the labors of the people under the pretense of taking care of them.

We lease property by Davenport for father and son hunts.  #1 rule in camp........kids shoot 1st.  I highly encourage all the parents out there to take thier kids out and get them involved! There is no more of a pround moment than your kid getting an animal ( even if the little s*** out shoots you, good job Jacob 2008!) If every dad out there takes on our rule think of how many kids would come back every year.  This is Jacobs 1st deer

Too cool!!! I love seeing the kids getting into hunting. My sons are more into the fishing than the hunting but as long as they grow up with the same love of the outdoors then I am ALL FOR IT!

Your son is starting off like a house on fire! CONGRATS to the young man.

Nice looking deer.  It looks like it will take all 4 of you to drag it out.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!
