Killing chickens for food

So i am watching survivour and one tribe won 3 chickens, 1 rooster and 2 hens.
They decided to eat one, and made an incorrect choice.
So what would you do.

Taught my daugther at her age 4 Hammer with AX while I hold Rooster. Thank god my hand is alright!  She chopped half way!  Amazing daugther I ever had! She would dare to do it.

My extended family has an annual "Pluck-a-thon" that always draws a crowd.  Helps cuz it's a lot of work if you have a bunch. There is no misconception in any of our kids minds where their tasty drummies come from. We start'em young, first catchin, then lopin, and then on to the gutin table and plucker. The value goes way beyond the tender farm raised freezer fowl.

That's thinking ahead, though the hens will stop laying if they are broody enough to hatch the eggs....

One hen, you will need the rooster to do his thing. Then let them hatch a couple and then whack.

They are needed if you want more chickens from those eggs though....  but then you need  21 days to incubate them and another eight weeks or so for those to grow big enough to bother eating, plus the food to grow them... hmmmm... just eat the rooster, get a few eggs out of the hens, and eat the hens when needed.  Use the guts to bait some other critters to eat as well.

Or, just make a spear and go take some food from the film crew.

They aren't going to be on the island or where ever for years.

I eat most hens after a year or two of laying.... I have 3 chickens smart enough to hatch their own babies and keep them alive for 3 days till I put them in a cage when they can fully walk and feed themselves.... This year they hatched 24 so far... 21 made it and are now in a seperate coupe... Half are probably roosters..... Too young to tell but a few so far... I will be cycling through them soon....
