was talking with a member and he told me I should post this one

This was a bull that my son shot a few years back. I was not a member at that time. So it was not posted.
It all started when my son drew a archery elk tag in Arizona at the age of 18

. We ended up going down 5 days early to do our scouting, as we were to do this hunt on our own. We set our goal at trying to get a 350 class bull.
In the 4 days we scouted and going back in 6 or 7 miles we were able to find 3 bulls that fit this bill. In witch 2 of them were 1/2 mile from our camp. On the fifth day of hunting we found one of the bulls that we wanted to go after, at about 1000 yards from us. So we started our stalk and buy the time we were about 100 yards we could here that he was in a fight with another bull. all we could here was branches breaking and antlers clanging together. We new now was the best time to make up ground. when we got up on them our bull was fighting another bull {one that we had not seen yet} this other bull looked like a twin to the one that Jason shot except it was a 6x7 and very respectable. Once Jason figured witch Bull he wanted to shoot we were able to range it and shoot while they were still fighting.
Jason let his arrow fly and it hits the bull and the bull takes off. The other one just stood there like what happened. I thought the shot was a little back so we were going to give it a couple hours. After about 40 minutes a rain storm came in so we had to start following the blood trail before we lost it. After 100 yards the bull bedded under a tree and when we came up on him he was still alive. The bull could not get up though, His antlers were caught in a big branch and he was to week to get up.So Jason finished him with another shot. Then the work started. The pack out was easy as we were able to drive the 4 wheeler right up to the bull. To me it was awesome to see my son kill such a nice bull and the smiles on his face are worth a million bucks to me.
Just anther note on this hunt.
On the way back home in our truck and trailer. We stopped in Pocatello Idaho around 1 o'clock in the morning We needed gas and some dinner. After filling with gas and having dinner at Denny's we decide to get some shut eye for a couple of hours. We parked under some lights in the back corner of the parking lot. The antlers were on top of the 4 wheeler in the bed of the truck as they did not fit in the trailer.I was a little nervous about it. Around 3:30 in the morning I awake to the trailer moving back and forth.I look over at Jason to see if he is rolling around in his sleep. Negative. So we get up and go out the trailer door and here is his this guy in the bed of my truck

cutting the ropes off to steel the antlers

. Well this guy sees us and he takes off running with the knife in his hand. Jason and I took off and ran him down and tackled him to ground. This guy was wiped out on drugs so bad he could hardly talk. I had Jason go into Denny's to call the cops. BUSTED they took him away. Slapped his wrist and let him go.

After the cops came I was talking to the waitress from Denny's,she said he came into Denny's and asked for a booth By the window. This is where he cased the trailer and truck. Had a steak dinner and when he was done he took the steak knife. The one he was using to cut the antlers off with.
