Opening morning withdrawls....
«
on:
October 15, 2010, 09:38:21 PM »
This is the first year since I started deer hunting that I havn't hunted opening day of rifle deer, probably in 15 years is what I am guessing. I hunted muzzleloader deer this year......it's not the same sitting home the night before the opener not getting ready. I feel like I'm having drug withdrawls or something, Hopefully next weekend I will take my neice out for her first deer hunt and help some of my anxiety. Any body else have this issue?

I hunt muzzleload for deer and elk. So for the rifle season I get to relax and absorb my kid's hunt.
Both of them are so anxious. I don't know if they will get any sleep.

I have twin girls that are 15 months old, so I dont know I don't know if they will both be hunting with me when the time comes or just one if them, but for now I'll have to decide which season I want to stick to..

15 months already!
Where'd the time go? Seems like that was just 2 or 3 months ago.
Somehow I've lost an entire year.

Do I count if I'm going and stuck at work tonight with a 3 hour drive ahead of me! If it was any other Friday things would be going great! but no it's the 15th and everything that can go wrong is!!! I HATE SWING ! Good news is that the wife called and she found the deer she is going after in the morning she is super excited or really drunk one of the two

I just started a new shift about a month ago, Fri-Mon. So I will be hunting Tues-Thurs. while everyone else is at work. I love having the woods to myself. I hate missing opening day though.

I won't be out hunting tomarrow either. Can't blame anyone but myself. I do not feel like fighting the crowds. Plus I can sneek out during the week days all I want as long as time allows.
