opening day, with a band
« on: October 16, 2010, 05:10:16 PM »
Just got home from our opening morning hunt. I was able to get two guys their first ducks and was also able to bring my six month old pup out for her first go around. I shot terrible today but did get lucky enough to shoot a big banded greenhead. Not a bad way to start the season.  :IBCOOL:

Sounds like you needed more bling to help you see the birds.
Glad that 2 new duck hunters saw success.

A good days work.  Always nice to pick up some bling.
Cut em!
It's not the shells!  It's the shooter!

Don't froget to share with us the banding information when you get it.  That is always interesting to me.  Thanks.  John

I am reporting the band tonight so as soon as I get the info back I will post it up here. It was a BIG greenhead so I am betting it is at least a few years old.

Update: The bird that I shot was banded 08/18/2009 in Idaho. Not as exciting as I had hoped but its still a band!
