Heading into Whiskey Dick Sunday
« on: March 28, 2008, 08:30:00 PM »
Several of us are heading into the Whiskey Dick area Shed hunting on Sunday.  Several people on horses so as to cover more ground.  Have had good luck in the past and this year the area is closed to vehicles and we have seen lots of wintering Elk.

We have a couple extra horses that need the exercise.   If your fun and can ride  PM me and we can discuss.  Snow should be clear by then. "I HOPE" snowing as we speak.

Lots of country out there,  don't let our little group stop you.   :dunno:  On foot you can get into places we just blow by.

I might be wrong, but I think the Whiskey Dick is closed to all access until April 15th.  It was a new law that went into effect just this last year to try and keep those elk on their historic winter range longer.  You may want to check before you commit to heading up there.

Dream, Plan, Fish, Hunt.

May your pack mules be loaded with bone.  I've always wanted to do it, but never have.
